In case you are wondering about his nickname–  I am told that he earned the name back in 7th grade after throwing up a corndog one day after football practice and it has stayed with him since. I’m pretty sure his momma isn’t crazy about it, but what can you do?

I have had the privilege of getting to know Mia and her family the past few years at church and I was really excited when they asked me to photograph her in this fun time of her life. Mia is an amazing girl and I am really looking forward to seeing where life takes her. She is beautiful, confident, stylish, totally mature and a very talented musician– oh yeah, and she has a great sense of humor. All of that to say, photographing her a few weeks ago was a lot of fun. We started the shoot at Fondren Guitars, at her request, which was totally appropriate, and ended back at her house which is absolutely beautiful.

Of course it makes my job easy when my subject is beautiful and great in front of my camera. This was certainly the case with Joanna. She has such a fun personality. She is the youngest of four and I have been around several of her siblings a bit more than I have been around her and really enjoyed getting to know her a bit.

I remember the day mom and dad brought him home from the hospital. This cute little chunk of a baby with pure white hair — a distinguishing feature that people have commented on his whole life. His hair has darkened a bit, he’s certainly no chunk, and has grown into such a great guy. The kind of guy that everyone wants to call their friend. He is super laid back, has a great sense of humor and loves cars. He is musical, compassionate, did I mention he loves cars? He is my brother and I think he is super cool. So, last week we headed out for a super quick senior shoot and here are a few of my favorites…
