It was on my list of things to get done before I left for California last week, but it didn’t happen–along with a few other things. I can’t wait to post about my trip, but today I want to share a few photos from Sarah and Allen’s engagement session.

Sarah and Allen are so cute together! They are high school sweethearts and are excited to be getting married next month. A couple of weeks ago I met up with them in Flora and then we headed out to some friend’s land to shoot their session. The light was beautiful and the location had everything from old cars to cows to abandoned bathtubs. A bull even gave us a bit of a stare down before going on his way.

Sarah and Allen, thanks for hanging out– especially you Allen, you are a good man for putting up with me for the sake of your bride. :-)  I’m looking forward to your wedding next month!!

For instance, I doubt Keith imagined the day that he would meet a girl that loved to spend time in the woods hunting as much as he did. That’s saying an awful lot because Keith hunts professionally. Seeing them together makes me smile. It’s the happiest I’ve ever seen Randi. You see, she and I have known each other since middle school and graduated high school together–all 10 of us in our graduating class.  Although we haven’t really seen each other much since then we have kind of kept up through Facebook and such over the years, occasionally running into each other around town. When I found out she was engaged I was so excited for her! Then she asked me to photograph their wedding and I am honored.

Last week we met up for their engagement session. Since they both love the outdoors it was only appropriate to shoot their session out in God’s beautiful creation– we headed out to Randi’s family land. The location was beautiful, the light beautiful and Randi and Keith are beautiful. A recipe for a fabulous session!

Randi and Keith, you two are precious and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding in June! Thanks for hanging out last week!

I love the way they laugh with each other. I think this might be my favorite from the session. :-)

Randi is about 6 feet tall and doesn’t think a thing about putting on a pair of 4 inch heels. I love it!

They met at school in Louisiana through mutual friends, dated, got engaged and I am super excited to be photographing their Natchez wedding July! They are currently having to manage a long distance relationship because Meredith is finishing up school in Louisiana and Travis is stationed in Florida. Last weekend happened to be the only time that Travis would be back before too close to the wedding to shoot engagements– soooo, they were super flexible to share a bit of their time together with me so we could get an engagement session in. :-)

It is so fun to see the dynamics of a couple’s relationship, particularly in front of my camera. Meredith is laid back and sweet as can be. She has a great sense of style, but is totally no fuss. Travis has a great sense of humor mixed with just enough sarcasm to keep you on your toes. :-) Together they are adorable.

Meredith and Travis, I so enjoyed hanging out and getting to know you a bit. I’m really looking forward to July!!

Andrew I have known for as long as I can remember because we grew up at the same church. Jill I have known only for a few years– her brother married one of my best friends. I had such a great time photographing their engagement session last weekend. Since I have really only known them a bit each separately it was fun to finally see them together and get a glimpse into their relationship.

I am really looking forward to photographing their wedding here in Jackson in December. I know it will be beautiful!

Anna emailed me awhile back and asked what I thought about shooting their engagement photos at the MS State Fair. Well, let me think about it ummm….. YES!! I knew we would have a blast, and that we did.

I really enjoyed getting to know Walter+Anna a bit more. They have so much fun together and I loved how attentive Walter is to Anna. They are both talented artists themselves. Walter is a writer and Anna a musician who also dabbles a bit into photography. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next month at the MS Ag Museum.
