The workshop is with Southern California based photographer, speaker, author, all around great guy– Dane Sanders. I actually had the opportunity to attend one of Dane’s workshops about a year ago in Austin, TX and it was an incredible experience. Since then Dane has been my business coach and become a friend. The things that I learned have transformed the way my business is structured and run as well as had a huge impact on my vision for Acorn Studio– really I don’t think Acorn Studio would have ever been ‘born’ had I not attended Dane’s workshop last year. I also met some really amazing photographers from all over, some of whom I still keep up with.

One of the great things about this workshop is that there are a limited number of seats– so you are sitting in a room of 20 people not 200. The Memphis workshop is being held at Jeff & Allison Rodgers studio (which is actually in Olive Branch)– to hang out at their studio is reason enough to go!

If you are just getting your business off the ground or have only been at it for a few years I would go so far to say that this would be the single best investment you could make in your business right now– even before *gasp* that great lens or camera body you have been eyeing. :-)

Emily brought the girls in for a studio session several weeks back and I love their precious Matilda Jane outfits. We had a great time.

It had been awhile since I had shot any maternity, and really enjoyed this session. Seeing that my own baby belly is growing by the day it was fun chatting all things baby and pregnancy as we shot. I can’t wait to meet little man after his arrival in a few weeks.

This is my favorite. Bing and Max have been Courtney and Brett’s ‘babies’ for years. Here is the first official portrait of all their children. :-)
