EMMA’S BIRTHDAY PARTY

Well, here they are…a few photos from Emma’s birthday party. There are a few other photos I was going to post but the blog is not cooperating so I will try to add more later. Thanks to my brother Matthew for taking over the camera for me on a few of these.

I always said I would never be “that mother” that went all out planning a ridiculous party for her child when they turn one and will never remember the party anyway. Well, I didn’t plan a huge party, it was a family party– of course with my family that is big enough. We grilled burgers, ate cake and watched Emma open all her gifts. It was a fun time and Emma enjoyed being the center of attention.

The look on her face is so goofy here. I’m not sure who she was looking at.

She wasn’t really sure what to do with her cake. She pushed the dots on the butterfly’s wings in like they were buttons. I ended up having to break apart the cake so she knew she was actually supposed to eat it.

I found the hat at Party City and couldn’t pass it up. She didn’t really like it much.

I made this little cake for Emma out of the scraps from the big cake. The big cake ended up being really big. I’m not really sure what I was thinking.

Here is Emma on her bus that her Grandma & Grandpa gave her. She has had a lot of fun riding it and pushing it around. I have the song that it sings stuck in my head.
